About Sabarmati University, Ahmedabad

Sabarmati University, formerly Calorx Teachers' University, is a state private university in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The current UGC record lists 7 July 2009 as the establishment / gazette notification date.

Statutory history: the university's current overview states that it was established under Gujarat State Act No. 8 of 2009 and that its legal framework was amended through Act No. 20 of 2019. UGC also records the former-name relationship.

Current UGC inspection status: UGC records an expert-committee visit on 20–21 May 2017 and currently displays “Compliance awaited.” This current regulator remark should be checked before counselling rather than replaced with a broader recognition claim.

2026–27 context: the university's current official website displays Admission Open for 2026-27 and presents certificate, diploma, PG diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, professional, pharmacy, law and Ph.D. study levels.

Verify the exact programme, intake and applicable regulator. Because the university describes itself as dual-mode, any distance or online programme must additionally be checked against current UGC-DEB entitlement for the exact programme and academic session.
